Rolling presses are devices that punch holes in metal or other materials. Here's how to use the roller presses:
Equipment Overview
Understand the structure: Rolling press mainly consists of power system, transmission system, actuator, die and control system. The power system provides the power source, the transmission system passes power to the actuator, which performs the punching action. Die is the key to hole formation, control system control and adjustment of punch.
Classification: press can be divided into mechanical press, hydraulic press and electromagnetic press according to driving mode; precision punches can be divided into precision punch. Different types of punch may differ in performance, application and operation.
Operational procedures
Mould Installation: According to the order to determine the product type, choose the appropriate punch. Turn the the flywheel manually to keep the slider to a minimum. Loosen the four bolts at the back of the press, loosen the locknut on the lifting screw, and adjust the press to the desired height by turning the handwheel. Install die between workbench and slider. Adjust the height of the press accurately according to the proper spacing between the upper and lower molds. Finally, tighten the table's bolts and lock nuts.
Test run: lubricate points and friction areas with sufficient lubrication. Turn the flywheel manually, disengage the clutch, rotate several times, check that clutch mechanism and operating mechanism are working properly. When ready, rotate the flywheel to disengage the clutch, start the motor, press the pedal and dry the press several times to ensure the die is installed correctly and safely.
Verify the first sample: Test the preparation of some perforated samples to confirm that the hole placement meets the requirements. Notify the Quality Department confirm the first batch of samples. If qualified, production can begin. Otherwise, repeat these steps for further confirmation.
Method: Put the press on the punching machine table and clamp it with clamp to prevent the press from moving. Then, move the material to the mold as needed and press a switch to start the mold. Once punched, remove from the table in time to prevent the hole from closing.
Safety Precautions
Personal protection: Wear protective glasses and gloves when operating. Keep clothes or fingers away from stamping moulds to avoid injury.
Equipment Inspection: before starting, check that all components of the punching machine are intact, fasteners are solid and transmission components are flexible to ensure that the punch machine is in normal condition.
Correct operation: do not overload the machine. The punching force of the processed product shall not exceed the prescribed range. Make sure the clutch is out of contact and the flywheel is in idle position before starting the motor. The die must be clamped accurately and securely. Do not start the motor without adjusting the die properly.
Repairs
Daily maintenance: Removal of metal debris and grease stains from machines and work areas at the end of each day. Lubricate regularly according to the lubrication chart to ensure flexibility and service life of transmission components. Check and tighten the screws of all punch components regularly to prevent loosening. Maintenance of key components: periodic inspection of wear and tear of transmission components, replacement of badly worn gears and bearings, inspection of airflow and pressure stability of pressure system, periodic cleaning of the filter and pressure regulating valve, periodic inspection of motor performance, removal of dust and oil from motor interior, ensuring good heat dissipation, regular cleaning of metal debris from mold surface and holes, brushing of ofrust oil, and maintenance mold sharpness.
