A Simple Guide To Roll Die Punching Machines

Nov 15, 2025

The brief introduction of roller press aims to help you master the three points of ``familiarity withequipment, basic operation and safety maintenance"quickly. This guide will help you meet basic daily needs without getting into technical details.
1.First, understanding devices: Three Key Understandings
Product Description: This machine adopts rolling die, in metal sheets and profile (such as aluminum bars, steel plates, etc.) continuous stamping. Suitable for long strip, large area material (such as security nets, shelf profiles, etc.), the efficiency is 3-5 times that of traditional single punch.
Core Components: Remember these three key components:
Feed mechanism: feed into machine at constant speed to prevent deviation;
Roller die: Upper roller die;
Control panel: set punching parameters (hole diameter, hole spacing, speed) and provide all necessary operation. Features: Main processing metal (0.5-10mm thk), punch round hole, square hole. Used in hardware, building materials, auto parts and other industries, such as photovoltaic bracket punch holes, security nets connection holes, etc.
ii. Basic operation: 4 steps to complete punch.
The key is to "adjust parameters, then test the machine, then start batch processing" to avoid errors:
Preparation
Loading: Placing a long material (such as aluminum profiles) on a feeder to be processed. Adjust the guide wheels on both sides to keep the material in line with the machine path and to ensure that the guide wheels do not tilt or tilt.
Setting parameters: Enter "hole diameter, hole spacing, feed speed" (e.g., hole diameter 10mm, hole aperture 50mm) on hole spacing control panel. For thicker materials (e.g. 5mm steel), punching pressure is increased appropriately.
Test run: Press the "Jog" button to charge the machine one or two holes at a time. Downtime check: Make sure the hole position is correct (no deviation), the hole edges are even (no burr) and the dimensions are correct. If the hole is bent, adjust the guide wheel; if the hole is rough, check that the die is sharp. Once the parameters are correct, try again.
Batch Processing
After passing the test, press the "Auto" button. The machine would feed and unfeed, and the the finished product would pop up automatically from the end.
spot checks during processing: check a few finished products several times every 10 minutes to prevent material deviation and misaligned holes.
Stop and Finish
After processing, press the"Stop" button. After the machine stops, wash any metal debris into the feed mechanism and mold (to prevent material from clogging up) and turn off the power.
III. Safety and maintenance: Two Key Reminders
Safety First (Must Read)
Even if the machine slows down, stay away from the inlet or die.
Press the "Emergency Stop" button immediately if the material is clogging up or making an unusual noise. Stop the machine and fix the problem. Do not force the machine to restart.
Wear protective glasses during processing to prevent metal debris from splashing into your eyes. Simple maintenance (extended service life)
Daily work: After finishing processing, wipe the mould with a cloth and clean the feed roller.
Weekly: Slightly lubricate feed rollers (according to equipment specification).
Mould: If punching holes has burrs, gently burnish the hole or replace it with a spare mould.
